Getting Started

Before we get started, I want to make sure we set you up for success from day one. Researching homes, pulling property details, and scheduling showings requires a meaningful investment of time from our team, so transparency upfront is important. 

The first step is requiring that you know your numbers, otherwise we are flying blind. Most buyers like to shop first, then talk numbers later. That's backwards and always results in time wasted. We need to know what your estimated monthly payment will look like (including interest, taxes and insurance), how much you need for a down payment, and how much closing costs are. Online mortgage calculators miss key fees, so speaking with an actual lender is the only way to get solid numbers. Having this clarity allows us to tailor your home search accurately and avoid spending time on homes that are not a financial fit.

 

If you are not already pre-approved, we are happy to help connect you with a trusted lender to obtain a pre-approval letter. Once that is in place, we can move forward efficiently and focus on finding the right home for you.

 

If you are casually looking and not quite ready to buy yet, we are more than happy to set you up on a custom home search and be a resource for questions about specific homes, neighborhoods, or the market in general. Once you feel fully ready to move forward, our team is excited to jump in and start showing homes. To make the best use of everyone’s time and energy, we only begin in-person showings when buyers are prepared to buy and have clarity around timing and their numbers.
